Aquatint with original colour drawn by Dighton and Bartholomew published by Hullmandel . Designed in 1829 published by Burton for 'Views in St Leonards ' by James Burton at St. Leonards . The town of St Leonards was created by the well-known London builder James Burton between 1827 and 1837. His son, the architect Decimus Burton, added later £45 mounted one mark centre base




Borde Hill House ca 1870 South Front

Very large plate hand tinted lithograph of Borde Hill with extensive damage to the borders one abrasion left edge into image one tear top right edge into image .Not recorded except as a clipped version at Cuckfield Museum. Seems rather rare £85 inc delivery as must go FLAT due to damage will mount and frame well

PORTRAITS, VIEWS, BIOGRAPHY, ANECDOTES, LITERATURE, ran from 1808 to12 published and edited by James Asperne (1757 to1820) .It was in direct competition with the Gentleman's Magazine. Its founding editor, James Perry soon passed proprietorship to the Shakespearean scholar Isaac Reed and his partners John Sewell and Daniel Braithwaite, who guided the European Magazine during its first two decades. £15 rare dated 1802 untinted tinted
