A new hydrographic sketch of the north, south, and middle channels at
the mouth of the Thames, taken 1 January 1782, by John Bean; printed
for Robert Sawyer, Fleet Street, as the Act directs. 10 June 1786The
first issue of this large scale sea chart of the River Thames estuary
appears to have been in 1781 in Robert Sayer’s ‘Channel
Pilot’. It also made appearances in his ‘Coasting
Pilot’ from about the same period.
