Niton Church
Sand pictures first became popular on the Isle of Wight in 1840 when an important centre for their production was established at Newport. Several artists took part in this activity, including Edwin Dore and his brother John of Arreton and James Neat of Newport. Edward Dore. (fl.1850-1870).  Alum Bay Sand Pictures These interestingly signed + dated 1836 by E.Dore so presume Edward which pushed the museums dates back over 15 years ! £35 each inc postage  Rather rare  and much nicer than the glass domes ! The magazine began publication with the January 1731 issue. Over time the magazine had various subtitles, including "monthly intelligencer" and "historical review". It restarted its volume numbering in 1868. It ceased publication in 1907. Size 12 x 21s+ cm  £15 rare dated 1766

Some grubbiness to page edges so £8  The left edge has severed along the plate mark as shown but will close mount and frame for a pub etc
