Fencing
Pierre Jacques François Girard Originally 1726- 1736. A block of four Hand coloured engraving from 'Traité des armes... enseignant la maniére de combattre de l'épée de point' ... This was published until  1755 in The Hague from the earlier  'L'Academie de l Homme d Epee' by Pierre Jacques Francois Girard. Fine later hand colour.  £550 set of six (NOT the £250 each on Amazon or $985 in USA , so quite a margin when framed)!


Cricket
 From The Empire's Cricketers, published in 1905 by the Fine Art Society. The original drawings were in coloured crayons then lithographed each colour separately so very few sets were produced  Proofs at three guineas for 4 ordinary pics 4 for one shilling  or eighteen shillings and sixpence for the complete set . These prints were originally published in 12 weekly parts, each containing 4 portraits, with biographical text by George Beldam drawn by by A. Chevallier Tayler. . Together with biographical text. Overall size 52 x 39cm. These early lithographs being on darkly printed  paper show creases as white marks depending upon the direction of the light. They are priced accordingly and substantially cheaper than many sports specialists being  faulted . . . all are post inclusive As there are duplicates of some they are listed separately so indicate if one is prefered
