  by JOHN CARY (ca.1754-1835) was an engraver, globe maker and cartographer. copper engraving  published in Camden's Britannia  translated by Richard Gough, 1789, and re-issued, as now corrected, in the second edition in 1806. Camden's Britannia was first published in 1586. Maps by Kip and Hole were first added in 1607, being supplanted by those of Robert Morden for the 5 editions from 1695 to 1772. In 1789 a new translation of the work by Richard Gough was published by John Stockdale with updated and modernised maps by John Cary. The same maps were also later used in Cary's New British Atlas of 1805.Page size 42 x 27 cm. These are all the early coin +archaeological plates
